Mozilla Firefox 3.6 beta spotted in the wild

Mozilla has released its long-awaited Firefox 3.6 beta. The latest version of the popular browser offers a number of “improvements” for both developers and end users.

For example, FF’s Persona feature allows users to change their browser appearance with a single click, while “native” video can now be displayed in full screen mode.

In addition, Firefox 3.6 provides support for the WOFF font format, along with new CSS, DOM and HTML5 web technologies.

The updated browser – which is built on the Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering engine – is also expected to improve JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness and startup time.
